HPFF23 – PRESS RELEASE

[ITA] PROGRAMMA HPFF23
[ENG] HPFF23 PROGRAMME

The Hacker Porn Film Festival returns from the 26th to the 30th of April with its 2023 edition – the seventh one – always hosted at the Trenta Formiche bunker. This year’s edition promises to be an exciting showcase of the latest and most provocative kinky, weird, post-porn, and queer films.

Imagine a place beyond reality, where sensory experiences blend and amplify: the Pleasure Dome, a utopia in which to immerse yourself during evenings made of cinema, pornography, meetings, and music, of pleasure in the broadest sense of the term. For the seventh edition of the Hacker Porn Film Festival, we have worked on a programme as varied, inclusive, and full of interesting innovations as possible, which we hope will stimulate discussion and discovery, while celebrating every facet of sex and sexuality.

We preferred not to relegate films to specific sections but instead let ourselves be guided by intuition and the free association of ideas, creating fluid and unpredictable categories: the representation of the human body (THE SKIN I LIVE IN, UNHOLY SIRENS), subversive expressions of identity (DISSIDENT BODIES, WEIRD-O), the interaction between the divine and the animal (GODS AND DOGS), the natural (STONE AGE PORN), the supernatural, and the performative (DEMONS AND DANCE). We will give space to Italian productions (SPAGHETTI PORN) and, outside of any comfort zone, to the NO BORDER sections, dedicated to the most extreme content (BEYOND THE SILVER SCREEN, IN BLOOD WE LUST, LIQUID PORN). We will repropose some important cult classics: on one hand, the mythical BODY LOVE by Lasse Braun, the king of porn, on the other hand, the restored version of NO SKIN OFF MY ASS, the queercore debut film by Bruce La Bruce. In competition NARCISSISM by Toni Karat (Best Documentary at the 2022 Berlin Pornfilmfestival) and the tribute film CHARLES LUM: THIS IS WHERE I GET OFF by Todd Verow and Charles Lum. Old friends of the festival will return, such as the AORTA collective, Jan Soldat, Ben Berlin, and Pina Brutal.

Over 70 films, documentaries, and short films, for a total of 33 screening slots, divided into 3 Wednesdays of previews (April 5, 12, and 19) and 5 festival days (from April 26 to 30), with the collaboration and support of Trenta Formiche.
