The Hacker Porn Film Festival is back in Rome for the ninth year in a row, with the support of Arci Trenta Formiche. Risky, challenging and always proudly underground, this year the festival goes even further, “six feet under” as they say, declaring itself dead and buried starting with the obvious subtitle of this edition: DEATH.
What does this term mean in relation to the festival? Is this really the last edition? Or will it just be the most deadly? And is it a definitive death, or is it just the prelude to a future transformation? What is certain is that the mood will be mortal, the approach definitive – an edition so hopeless that it inevitably seems exciting. What better way to live the present than with lascivious desperation?
But above all, this year’s festival aims to give space and visibility to the most daring cinema that explores the broad spectrum of sexual practices and fetishes, as well as the potential of eroticism on screen and personal epiphanies.
Anticipated for the now established 48 HOURS project – a short film created in just 48 hours during the Hacker days – are the artists Lola Pistola and Kiki Kazimi, who were respectively awarded as BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM and SPECIAL MENTION NO GENDER NO BORDER in the last edition of the festival.
