BEST INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM
THE LISTENER – Lidia Ravviso (70′, UK, 2021)
Riddles to be solved, soundscapes full of pleasure, and an accumulation of moments spent together and turned to each other. A film that puts pleasure at the center and casts new, important glances. A film that entertains and is open to the world, creating hot moments in the cinema. The winner of HPFF22 in the category Best International Feature is The Listener!

BEST DOCUMENTARY
RAW! UNCUT! VIDEO! – Ryan White, Alex Clausen (79’, US, 2020)
A documentary that not only manages to tell the emotional relationship of two people so closely and honestly, but also captures the techno zeitgeist of a bygone era. Hands up to all self-taped and packed video-tapes! In a time when many have been confronted with anti-porn propaganda and the HIV crisis has reached its peak, these two people are giving themselves and others the space to explore their homosexual desires and fetishes. Kink in its purest form, and all of it is beautiful! The winning film of HPFF 22 in the category Best Documentary is RAW! UNCUT! VIDEO!.

BEST ITALIAN FILM
INFERNO ROSSO. JOE D’AMATO SULLA VIA DELL’ECCESSO
– Manlio Gomarasca, Massimiliano Zanin (75’, IT, 2021)
When comparisons like master of horror, bringer of eroticism and king of porn are made, you know you’re talking about Joe D’Amato. A documentary that takes up one of the most dazzling and greatest genre-bending directors, a commentator on Italian film history. You lustfully promenade through an expansive world of horror and spagetti porn, a film that shapes history and that had to be made. The winning film of HPFF 22 in the category Best Italian Film goes to Inferno Rosso.

SPECIAL MENTION – FEATURE FILM
VORTEX – Christophe Karabache (83′, FR, 2019)
The deeply rooted violence, lustful spheres and aesthetically shot compositions impressed the jury. A play full of distress and anger and lust that should be mentioned in a special complementing way.

SPECIAL MENTION – DOCUMENTARY
AUTOAGGRESSION – Martin Willibald Meisl, Daria Vybornova (27’, AT, 2022)
Here, too, the private meets the political and allows us to participate unabashedly in pain, courage and confronts a subject that is still covered with shame in many places. Hands up!

SPECIAL MENTION – ITALIAN FILM
QUELLO CHE LE MIE DITA SAPEVANO
– Marta Basso (22’, IT, 2021)
The jury wants to emphasize this powerful film because it breaks a taboo and tells important stories. The private becomes political. #thefutureisfemale

Yavuz Kurtulmus, Jasmin Hagendorfer, Nino Giordano

BEST INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM
PIKACHU V/S PIÑERA – Errada, Vesania Versàtil (8’, CHL, 2021)
For its capacity to address a political discourse referencing contemporary and actual problems through the lens of porn, we selected PIKACHU V/S PIÑERA as the Best International Short Film. The movie focuses on sadomasochism and ballbusting as a playful and creative response to repressive politics, literally kicking fascism in the balls as a way to regain our agency with our bodies, identities and sexuality.

NO GENDER NO BORDER AWARD
OGRE HOLE – Echo Chambers (5’, US, 2022)
For its relentless punk and DIY nature and its capacity to break down all gender norms, we selected OGRE HOLE as the winner of the No Gender No Border award. Its fantastical and unusual portrayal of transgender euphoria, by channeling both cute and gross images, brings us into new territories of pleasure and self-portrayal, and shows us the communal potential and possibility of queer porn. Even more, its zero budget approach reminds us that we all could, and should, do porn!

SPECIAL MENTION – SHORT FILM
LETTING GO – Finn Peaks (12’, DE, 2021)
For its masterful balance between intimate personal and political narration, we want to give a special mention to LETTING GO. Not only it has the capacity of addressing a tender, painful and fulfilling experience with such a clear view, but it also does not sacrifice its capacity to arouse, excite and move the audience.

By Hacker Porn Film Festival

We hack and destabilize expectations of what is considered exciting, obscene, inconvenient, and secret. HPFF is a completely independent and self-funded event, created to give value and visibility to independent and DIY productions, making bodies, sexuality and subversion of the norm new subjects of investigation. We are constantly looking for innovative and compelling projects that explore the most subversive post-pornographic art. The festival is a great opportunity for artists, performers, activists and audiences to come together to explore and discuss the latest trends in pornography through the medium of film, visual, and performance art. It is an amazing platform for everyone to showcase their work, exchange ideas and pleasures.
