Hacker Porn Film Festival 2026, many questions and also an answer
2017
Hacker was founded in Rome to give value and visibility to independent productions that explore bodies, sexuality, and gender transitions as new subjects of investigation and research. Post-porn as a form of writing capable of dismantling genres, linguistic conventions, and the reassuring world of entertainment cinema.
2025
Post-porn has become a genre. What should we do? Close the festival? Question it? If everyone acted solely on the basis of their own returns, reality would certainly be no more interesting than fantasy.
HPFF does not remain where the system recognizes it: it moves sideways, forcing a subsequent level of research. HPFF changes because post-porn has become a genre, and HPFF rejects genre: it hacks it.
So, here we are at the 10th edition of Hacker Porn Film Festival with a new five-year plan:
- Less red carpet, more sticky floor.
- A maximum of 15 minutes for short films that bring rebellion in their forms and themes.
- Free entry and screenings. No more tickets because we want a festival that is accessible and even more punk.
- DIY without excuses and independent productions (collectives, cooperatives, local crews, aliens) that sabotage post-porn. The poorer the better.
- Even better you shoot your movie with an old phone. Yes to poor, borrowed equipment.
- The echo of the bathroom becomes sound design, the toilet as a stand.
- We ask for dirty films when clean ones serve to frame the picture.
- This is not a simple call. It’s a call to sabotage. If you are working on a film that defies synopsis, if you are missing a piece but have already found the crack, if you laugh when they tell you “it won’t work,” you have the hacker spirit.
- Bring us cracks that open passages, detours, opacity. Hunger is hunger for revolt and sabotage, not for window dressing and labels.
- The vision is not consumption: it’s presence, laboratory, friction, and not a roadmap.
It’s therefore unnecessary to wish you “enjoy the show” because nothing is all-encompassing and predictable, and ultimately everyone has their own karma… Therefore, sure that this will not be enough for you (of course not, the world could end tomorrow), ask and you will be told or given.
See you soon. We’re counting on it.
